Follower Friday: Taste Cookies

by Amy on April 2, 2010 in Follower Friday

Follower Friday is a Meme I decided to create to elaborate on the Twitter tradition of #ff to recognize one of my wonderful Social Network followers every Friday! If you would like to participate in Follower Friday just snag the button from my sidebar and make sure to link it to En Chocolat!

This week for Follower Friday I am spotlighting @tastecookiesnyc!

Taste Cookies is one of my favorite types of bloggers and tweeters – the kind that sells delicious food that often times include chocolate! Taste Cookies NYC runs out of New York City selling moist and delicious cookies which include Dark Chocolate Chunks with Dried Cherries, Mint Chocolate Chunk, Old-fashioned Chocolate Chip, Triple Chocolate Chip with Pecans and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut with Dried Cherries! There is something truly decadent about a good cookie, particularly a good cookie with chocolate and while I have not yet had the opportunity to taste Taste Cookies if they taste as amazing as they look I would be one hefty woman!

What do I love about Taste Cookies? I particularly love the different cookie flavors. While most cookie companies offer chocolate chip, peanut butter and oatmeal and raisin cookies  Taste Cookies offer a touch of class by adding cherries, cranberries and mint in to the mix. I also particularly love the cookie of the month feature because it makes gift giving for that difficult someone a whole lot easier than it used to be because, let’s face it, who doesn’t love cookies?!  With so many generic big name cookie companies out there willing to send your special someone bulk manufactured cookies it’s so much nicer to be able to send freshly baked cookies that aren’t perfectly round and that do smell and look like they were baked in your own kitchen.

If you have been agonizing over a gift to give or just craving the taste of sweet homemade cookies pay Taste Cookies a visit or find them on Twitter and drop them a note to let them know that you’re headed their way to taste some of their unique and delicious Taste Cookies!

This week for Follower Friday I am spotlighting @browneyedbaker !

Michelle from Brown Eyed Baker has one of the most delicious blogs you can ever hope to visit (aside from mine of course!). On her blog Michelle features, with exquisitely detailed and gorgeously colored photographs, recipes for the sweet tooth in all of us! Of course while I tend towards the chocolaty “will make you sick because, as always, you will eat at least twice the recommended serving size” recipes, Michelle features some recipes for those of us who have tamed the sugar craving beast and prefer something a little more savory. Something like her oven-fried onion rings with dipping sauce. I dare you to look at that mouth watering recipe and not drool all over your keyboard.

What do I love about Michelle’s blog? Besides the crystal clear, incredibly detailed photography that illustrates each and every recipe I absolutely love Michelle’s writing style. I love bloggers who talk to me not at me, bloggers who guide me through recipes – which I will undoubtedly question – as though they already know the questions I am going to ask. Finally, I love Michelle’s recipes. The broadness of her scope, the inclusion of oven-fried onion rings and coffeecake with sweet cheese filling.

If you have a moment pay The Brown Eyed Baker a visit or find her on Twitter to let her know that you’re going to give one of her recipes a shot because after visiting her site I guarantee that you’ll find at least one that you want to try yourself!
