The white plastic wrapper comes with a very Ikea-esque instruction causing you to give far more thought to unwrapping the chocolate than is needed – my advice? Just rip in to it. The initial scent of the 365 Organic Swiss Dark Chocolate With Coconut Flakes Bar is one of a much darker chocolate.
As I take my first bite of the 365 Organic Swiss Dark Chocolate With Coconut Flakes Bar I notice how soft this “dark” chocolate is, this is most likely due to the fact that there is only 54% cacao in the bar. The flavor of the chocolate itself, however, is particularly pleasant with just the right about of bitterness to consider this a dark chocolate but not so much bitterness that you are limited to one single square of chocolate. Biting in to the chocolate yields much more coconut than first imagined. Each small bite is filled with so much coconut there is an almost gritty texture to the bar. The overall flavor of the chocolate and coconut combination is a pleasant one, there is just enough bitterness to the chocolate to give it a dark chocolate flavor and yet it does not overpower the subtle flavor of the coconut pieces.
